I have committed fully to my blog. I have such a busy schedule and lately I have just run out of time in the day. I had a great time at the Mesquite Scrap and Stamp show. Spent more money then I should have, hehe. My girls enjoyed the various make and takes and lunch with good friends.
Off to bed for me. Good night.

The Tree is Down
I finally got my tree taken down and put away. I sent most of the day working on a flyer for a spaghetti dinner the Band Boosters are having February 4th. We need to get the word around town so we can have a successful turn out. I am really hoping a lot of people come and enjoy a good dinner and bid on some great baskets.
Here is the flyer I did using Stampin' Up! MDS(My Digital Studio). I think I am getting the hang of this.
I am also looking forward to attending the Stamp Scrap Art Tour in Mesquite, TX next weekend. I will be spending hours with good friends, getting my hands on new products, and just plain enjoying myself.
Have a great weekend!!

Hard Day
Today was long. Had to get up early and take the kids to school and get Kevin to surgery by 8am. We were at CVS by 10:45 to get pain meds. We were told it would take an hour. My poor husband was in quite a bit of discomfort. When I went to the counter to get his meds, I was told "just a few more minutes". After a total of an hour and a half, the clerk informed me that they were out of that drug. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Such a waste of time. I ended up going to a pharmacy in my little town and had everything in less than 20 minutes.
Needless to say, no crafting today. I did have a band booster meeting to discuss our spaghetti dinner coming up next month and our craft show in March. It was a very productive meeting. Now I just need to send out vendor requests and donation requests and contact some car clubs.
Have a great night!! Back to work in the morning.

Day 2
What a relaxing day today!! I did some laundry, a little cleaning, and my tree is still up(LOL). I really did not do anything too productive today. I am taking my husband in for minor surgery in the morning, so one more day away from work for me.
Today I am going to show a project I did earlier this year. I made these candy jars as back to school gifts for my kids teachers. The one with music notes was for the band director and the baking jar was for the culinary teacher. The other teachers got various solid colors and white. I used my Sizzix Big Shot for the flowers. The solid colored card stock is Stampin' Up! and the printed paper is from Hobby Lobby.

I wrapped the Hershey nuggets in Avery labels I had stamped using various images.
For Senior night at one of our high school football game, I made these for our Senior band members. These were my first attempt at rosettes.
Thanks!!

Happy New Year!!
Well, it is the first day of 2012.
We have so many things planned in 2012, I can hardly wait to get this year rocking!! My oldest turns 16 this year, my middle turns 13, my youngest will be 11. "Just a few milestones." I am also busy planning a trip to Italy with my oldest and some of her classmates. I am truly excited about this trip.
Anyway, on with today's project. I have been planning a Car & Craft Show to raise funds for my daughters school band programs. Today I designed a flyer using Stampin' Up! My Digital Studio. This was also my first attempt at using this awesome software. It is surprisingly easy and there are a bunch of options included in the basic package. I will definitely be ordering more digital kits.

Thank you for joining me on this adventure. I am looking forward to this journey!!
